MEP was the Golden Partner of the State Competition for Vocational School Students – WorldSkills Croatia 2021 in the discipline of Nautical Navigation. The competition was held in Zagreb at the Velesajam fairgrounds, and among others, students from maritime secondary schools competed. For the needs of the competition, MEP set up a navigation and GMDSS simulator with two bridges equipped with all the necessary devices for conducting the competition.
We presented a simulator of switchgear for a ship’s electrical switchboard, and held a lecture on new trends in seafarer training, such as cloud-based simulators and remote access to simulators.
We thank the teachers of maritime high schools and the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education, and congratulations to the competition winners.
