Inverter Power Supply system

Brodosplit shipyard grows into the largest Croatian shipyard, today covering an area of 560 000 square meters. Brodosplit's production program is wide and varied. Basic and most important products of the company are, of course, ships: commercial, passenger, container, ships for the transport of liquid and bulk cargo, dredgers and other special types of ships, mostly built for international clients.

Project description


Engineering, design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of Inverter Power Supply system for NB473, 474 Brodosplit shipyard. Jumbo is a heavy lift shipping and offshore transportation & installation contractor. Jumbo has been developing pioneering solutions for ocean transportation for more than 45 years. Two K-Class heavy lift vessel are being built in Brodosplit shipyard.

MEP has been commissioned for design and manufacture of emergency power supply system operated form batteries. The system is based on modular redundant inverter and rectifier modules organized in two separate inverter/rectifier subsystems supplying port and starboard side of the vessel. Housed in compact 3 section cabinet measuring just 1800x600x1800 mm incorporating more than 45000W of combined inverter and rectifier power and dedicated power distribution section.
