DATABOX – cooling and power supply system
FREE COOLING SYSTEM
MEP company’s employees have designed and installed a complete high-efficiency cooling system for the
DATABOX data center.
We have upgraded the power supply system by installing two new DEA (diesel electric generators) from TEKSAN with a
capacity of 1100/1000 kVA with redundant start systems.

DATABOX DATA CENTAR ZAGREB
DataBox Data Center in Zagreb is designed in accordance with Tier 4 industrial standards, ensuring high availability of data center services that guarantee SLA availability and access over 1200 m2 of space for customer IT equipment. Security and operational procedures are certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards for data center services and infrastructure.
DEA POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM
Our employees have procured and installed TEKSAN diesel generator units with a capacity of 1100/1000 kVA. For both systems, we have upgraded the DEA (Diesel Electric Automation) plant start system with redundant start systems.
COOLING Project Task
For the expansion of the data center space, the customer requested the installation of a highly efficient cooling system with FREE COOLING option with high temperatures of the coolant. Such a cooling system allows for high efficiency cooling especially during winter months starting from an external temperature of 15°C.
Solution
MEP employees have delivered and installed high-efficiency water chillers, STULZ Explorer, with a free cooling system and VSD (Variable Speed Drive) pumps. Inside the data center, STULZ CyberAir CW units with two separate cooling circuits have been installed, blowing cold air into the space of the modular floor.
Highly efficient and redundant cooling of the data center with STULZ equipment!
OTHER
The cooling system and mechanical installations are executed in full redundancy, enabling high system availability, servicing, and upgrades without interruptions in equipment operation and cooling.
COOLING OF ELECTRICAL SUBSTATIONS
Separate STULZ air conditioning units have been installed for the electrical substations in redundant operating mode. All equipment is connected to a central monitoring sytem and is under central surveillance 24/7.
OTHER
After testing, a successful commissioning has been conducted, and the data center has been transitioned into regular preventive maintenance mode, along with previously installed power supply and cooling systems, which are already under maintenance contracts.
