ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Sinergana entrepreneurial incubator, located in the renovated building of the former Rijeka Paper Factory, is positioned as a key driver of the development of creative technologies and the IT industry in the region. This incubator is intended for business start-ups and new companies in IT, offering a range of services such as mentoring, education, networking, space and equipment rental, and market opportunity consulting.
The goal of Sinergana is to encourage the development of innovative products and services, strengthen users’ technological competencies, and create new opportunities for the economic growth of the local community.
Within this advanced entrepreneurial infrastructure, the company MEP has played a key role by installing a data center, which will provide data storage services to incubator users and interested economic entities. Designed to meet the highest technological standards, this data center will ensure a secure and reliable environment for working with data, laying the foundation for digital transformation and technological innovations.
TEHNICAL INFRASTRUCTURE
Our engineers designed and implemented an integrated data center solution that includes:
• Procurement, delivery, and installation of equipment and materials
• Installation and commissioning of the data center, which comprises:
- 8x 19” colocation racks, 42U height, equipped with metered and managed PDU units
- Modular UPS devices in a 2N configuration
- Cooling system with 2N configuration and ventilation
- 160 kVA diesel electric generator
- Hot Aisle containment
- Environmental monitoring system
- Fire detection and extinguishing system (NOVEC)
- Video surveillance and access control system
- DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) monitoring system with a central display

QUALITY CONTROL
After the installation and internal quality control processes were completed, the data center underwent comprehensive testing under full load. The tests included power outage simulations and operational tests of all data center systems.
